Katy recommends two charities:

              “Give Kids the World”

            “Camp Good Days and Special Times”

  Katy knows both of these charities are very good and very worthwhile.  They were responsible for sending her and her family on their last vacation together.  Katy’s older brother “Mikie” was sick since he was three years old with a brain tumor.  Realizing how sick Mikie was the social workers at Strong Memorial Hospital put Mikie and his family in for a trip to Disney World in Florida through these two charities.  When he was accepted the social workers let Mikie and his family know and helped with all the arrangements.  The trip was a great success.  Mikie was quite sick but he laughed a lot and had a great time.  This was the trip of a lifetime, the family enjoyed everything as well as each other. They are very grateful to these charities for their last vacation together that because of numerous medical expenses through the years they wouldn’t have been able to afford.  Ten months later Mikie was gone but Katy and her family will never forget the fun Mikie and his family had together because of the kindness these charities and the people that run them.  Katy and her family think very highly of these two charities and recommend them for donations.
